On The Run

This tune came to me in a dream. You know, the one where you’re running as hard as you can, but just don’t seem to be able to get moving very fast?
My son Chad had described some film ideas that he and his brothers were thinking about, and this had hit me late one night. I decided to “lay down some tracks” so I would not forget or lose sight of the inspiration.

I always enjoyed “picking” with Grandad during our summer vacation visits. He had a natural talent for music. Though he could not read a note of music, he could figure a tune out “by ear”. This tune is an instrumental tribute to those special times we had together.

I plan to chronicle the  construction of a 1952 “RI” Fender Telecaster in the very near future! Mr. Fender’s 1952 Telecaster was  ahead of its time with many of his influences still being seen today. This will be a serious “work in progress” with emphasis to the original materials, wiring schematics, finishing, etc.
